Hey guys! I'm starting this thread for the Winter 2025 Cohort at UCLA. Hopefully we can update each other on application processes, interviews, and job offers!

This is my second time applying for UCLA's Nurse Residency Program!

The first time I applied, it was for Med Surg/Tele Overflow in SM and the Medical ICU in RR. I got interviews for both units, but unfortunately didn't get an offer (MICU was only hiring 2 people, and there were 16 of us interviewing. Not sure how many people they were taking for MS/Tele overflow but there were 14 of us interviewing). I applied during my second to last term of nursing school, so I didn't have my license yet. 

This second time, I applied for the Emergency Department and the Liver Transplant ICU. I passed my NCLEX and got my license in June, and all of my clinical hours were in the ED, so I'm hoping that would give me a better chance this time (-';

Thank you for starting this thread! I withdrew my last application like an idiot cause I started a new job but I totally regretted it. Hopefully this time I can get an interview for OR 🥹 good luck to us!

Commenting to stay in the loop. Currently waiting for my recommenders to send their letters. Has anyone heard if they close the application before the cutoff if there's too many applicants?

I interviewed for those same units when I first applied this past March! Lmk if you have any questions about what they asked or how it went

Good luck! I also just started my residency at another hospital, but I'm still hoping that I can land a position at UCLA.

Hello everyone!! I just submitted my application. Did you guys get a questionnaire when you guys applied? I applied last year and got one within 5 min but nothing yet this time around and its been a couple hours.

If you've completed an assessment in the past, I don't think you will be emailed to take another.
