UCLA New Grad Summer 2015

Hi all! I know the application for the summer residency program does not open until March, but I started this thread so hopeful applicants can talk about the application process!

Hi everyone! I just applied last week for Oncology, PICU, and Peds. I applied as internal but won't be graduating or taking the NCLEX until June/July. Have all of you graduated/taken the NCLEX?

I applied a week or 2 ago.. excited to hear back hopefully sooner than later. I applied to Peds/PICU/Onc... Finishing nursing school in May in NY but from CA!

I haven't heard back yet! Has anyone else? I'm not sure when they will be sending out offers for interviews, I couldn't find that information on the website.

No idea when we should be hearing back but it seems like in the past it's been AT LEAST a month from application submissions. Some people's status has already changed to routed to interviewing supervisor, although I don't know if that means they've been contacted yet! Fingers crossed, I don't think that all units or applicants have been contacted, but I haven't called to verify. Good luck!

My status changed to "routed to interviewing supervisor" on March 29 but I have not yet been contacted by anyone. I totally agree that not all units or applicants have been contacted.

Hey Everyone, Last Tuesday my status changed to "routing to interviewing supervisor," then for some reason it changed to "online assessment pending" and 24 hours later it changed to "online assessment completed" do you think there was a mistake, or do you think that just means I did not get an interview. Thanks

That happened to be before and I ended up getting an interview so best of luck to you :) Other people were sent an invitation for an interview few days earlier before I was sent mine (for the same unit), so don't sweat it if you see other people getting an interview for the unit you want.

From what I've heard the following have started sending: perinatal, peds, picu, nicu, cardiothoracic icu, intermediate care/observation units, oncology, neuropsyche, OR. Really hoping we'll catch word on the status of other ICUs, ER, med/surg!

SICU began sending out invites as well, i heard NICU wasn't accepting.. not sure tho. theres is UCLA FB group for those who applied, ,might give you guys more info on the depts your looking for!
