  9. Hey everyone, I applied a week or 2 ago.. excited to hear back hopefully sooner than later. I applied to Peds/PICU/Onc... Finishing nursing school in May in NY but from CA!
  10. Hi guys... I applied like the middle of October (regular decision) and got accepted on Nov 5th... so I don't think it really matters whether you applied priority or not! Hope that helps. Also, the admissions offer should show up before you pay because you have to accept the offer and then apply your payment!
  11. Hey Lauren, I am from Orange County and also got accepted to Spring 2014... freaking out about moving and living, etc. Have you been doing any research on housing?? I have a friend who lives in Hoboken with her boyfriend and she loves it.. says its only 15 min into the city. It seems cheaper there- was finding like 3 bedroom apartments for ~3,000 which isn't bad. -Shannon
  12. @lauraheatherj I think there may be a few of us from Southern CA.. How are you looking into housing? I really was hoping for on campus housing apartment style. When are you planning on moving?! Any news on orientation? I was looking at scholarships but it seems many of them you have to have already begun the program. And loans.. Are you looking into federal ones?! Where did you go to college?
  13. Hey Laura and any future classmates :) I am not sure about my living situation yet... I have family that lives close in jersey so I may take the bus/train in for the first semester until I get a better feel for the area around school. Otherwise I am researching on campus housing but not dorms- hoping for graduate level apartment style also. So we are not eligible for that??? Which halls are we eligible for? Also, when you accepted did you just pay the 500 deposit? Thats what I am planning to do but then what if i decide on campus housing? Anyone know when orientation is?? I heard we get more information in a packet once we accept...
  14. Hi Laura, I am new to this blogging too... i thought i just posted something but it didn't work. Anyway, I got my acceptance email yesterday and I have a million questions as far as housing, loans, program details, etc. I heard that the cohorts were often larger (like 100+) but I am not sure. Also, I will be coming from Orange County- huge move as well so I can relate. Congrats to you and everyone else accepted so far.. -Shannon
  15. I had a 3.4 gpa, 2+ years hospital volunteer work, 2+ years working in an outpatient physical therapy clinic, and got my phlebotomy license a couple years ago. I believe my essay and letter of rec were strong parts of my application in addition to my healthcare experience. I applied in Oct before the regular deadline (not early admission) and received my acceptance this morning.
