Hi all! I know the application for the summer residency program does not open until March, but I started this thread so hopeful applicants can talk about the application process!

Hi, I will also be applying. I know the application opens in March, does anybody know the specific date?
The application opens March 9! It's only open for a week so watch out for it! You will need a cover letter, resume, and two letters of recommendation to apply
Thank you! What units are you hoping to apply for?

I'm planning on applying to NICU, Peds Cardiac, and Adult Cardiac. When I spoke with the recruiter she said you'll list your top 3 and based on your experience they'll choose the unit to send your application to and you'll go for the interview from there.
For those applying have you graduated and taken nclex yet?
I am planning on applying to NICU, Adult Critical Care, and Adult Progressive Care

Anyone else applying from outside of CA?
Also, I created a closed Facebook group called UCLA New Grad RN Summer 2015. Feel free to join!
Good Luck to all of us!

Thanks for creating this thread. I am also applying to the new grad program and eagerly awaiting the time when the application finally opens up. It's always hard to write a cover letter when you are asked to list your choices of units rather than a specific field.

Does anyone know if all units are hiring? I remember for USC not all units were hiring new grads and it was used as a weeding process. Good luck everyone! Applications open this Monday

Cedars has 3,000 applicants for 120 new graduate positions, not so sure about UCLA.
