UCLA New Grad Summer 2014

This is for those who applied to UCLA's Summer 2014 New Graduate Residency program, to exchange information and questions.

It really depends on UD. Once they make their decisions, they contact HR and HR will contact you. Some UDs make their decision faster than others. Plus RR and SM are a bit different. SM was a community hospital back then became part of UCLA not too long time ago. How they do things at SM is different from RR.

I got an offer from HR via phone yesterday. She said that she will call me back today to go over details. I think they now start making phone calls. My online application status is ' in review', even I got an offer so do not think or worry too much about what you see there.

Good luck to you all! People who got offers, I will see you on 9/6! New grad program last one year and we have a class every month. We will get to know each other :)

BTW... I will be at surgical floor :))

Hello! Nope - but I also didn't get asked for a reference request, which I called HR about and they said all hired applicants have to go through it. I know I've been out of the running, but best of luck to you :)

Aw man I'm so sorry :( What really? I was asked for references but I haven't heard back :( I heard even though they ask for references, it's not a guaranteed in. Ahh

Don't be sorry, I'll reapply for the next cohort and hopefully I'll get something :up: Reference requests don't guarantee a position, they're just another step in the hiring process if that makes sense. I'm not too sure about the calling part, but I hope you'll hear back soon :)
