I've been checking on and off since midnight for the new grad RN positions to open. It appears as though the positions usually open around midnight (based on previous allnurses threads). Just wondering if if I'm the only one who can't seem to find the job posts? I've been up for the last 48 hours trying to reedit my resume and cover letter, so that is totally possible. :)
I received an email on December 23 at 10 pm (so unexpected!) to interview for med/surg with the unit director! My unit choices were 1) tele, 2) med-surg, and 3) adult ICU. My email only mentioned that interviews will be taking place in the first and second weeks of January and nothing was said about a second round of interviews. The interview was stated to be only 20 min long so I feel skeptical that there would only be one interview, but I wasn't told about a second round as another person mentioned.
Has anyone received anything similar?
Thanks!
Hello All!!! My interview is soon approaching (1.7) and my anxiety is really starting to kick in. I was hoping there was some people out there that would like to share there knowledge/experiences about the interviewing process at UCLA or the OR Training Program. I am so happy that I have been blessed enough to receive an interview for the OR Training Program and would really appreciate any feedback anyone can give me about the interviewing process.
For all who have received interviews - best of luck to you all!!!! Hopefully I will see you all soon as an RN on one of these units:)
I think the date is in February. I am also waiting for my license to be endorsed and am starting to get worried! I called the state again on Friday, and they said they are four weeks behind. But I called UCLA recruitment and they said we do not need to bring a copy of license to interview.
For all those who've interviewed, how did your interviews go? I interviewed for 7E yesterday and I think it went well. I am really hoping to get a call back for a 2nd interview. From what I could gather, I was 1 of 10 people being interviewed.
Let's keep each other updated so we can get an idea of how the process is going.....
For those who haven't been contacted, good luck and don't give up.. I have no idea where each specific department is at in regards to their process..> I know someone posted some info on the New Grad page on facebook but I think it's just a guesstimation...
should i just give up? statuses havent changed at all
Shouldn't be holding your breath and continue applying where you can regardless of your application status. Apply and forget about it, you'll be much happier when you get that magic email or phone call to move forward randomly vs holding on to your "dream jobs" only to be let down. It'll be easier on your nerves and you'll be more productive.

My status actually changed to "Routed to interviewing supervisor" about a week before I was contacted for the interview. I'm sure this varies between departments though.
