UCLA New Grad RN 2013

Hello to all prospective UCLA Nurses!

My name is Matthew and I'm a CSU Long Beach alumnus.

I'm currently working as a Super User RN for the UCLA Health System.

I hope this thread will be able to answer our questions about the application, interview process and a place for any updates anyone receives for the 2013 new grad program.

With that said, I was told by recruitment that applications will be made available in March. :)

Newbie- From looking at the thread from last year, it seems that each unit does it's own thing. So it may be that you will only have to do the one interview! Good luck either way!

Do we get a chance to be interviewed for our 2nd and 3rd choice of unit if we don't get pick for the 1st one???

Nope! It's one interview only! And you only get to list your first three choices in order of preference. You will interview for one of those three units.

Hi everyone! Well I was also an internal Super User and did not know of any applications being accepted! What a bummer, I guess I will have to wait until the summer program starts..so sad!

I had my first interview with 2 ladies, the assistant managers of Med/Surg unit. One lady name is ------------. My cell phone is acting up. Has anyone gotten a second interview yet? I forgot to ask them how long it would take for them to get back. I wonder if they will call or would it be through emailing.

I had my second interview on Monday. I think beyond the first interview the process is unit specific.

Yup, it was a phone call. After the initial interview, I was told that they would be making calls for second round interviews by the end of the week. Others that I have talked to were told they would hear back within 7-10 days.
