  1. it starts at the end of August.
  2. Honestly.... I thought for sure I was tanked after that test. Not sure what saved me, but I did feel fairly confident after the panels and the writing assignment.
  3. I just tried searching for your FB page, didn’t come up!
  4. Also, I had two coworkers who received invitations to interview but declined for various reasons!
  5. Anyone who says that mandated ratios don't work in California are LYING to you! Most likely a ploy from hospital administrations who are fearing the costs of having to recruit and hire additional staff should a mandated ratio law pass. Ive been an RN in CA for 5 years, and while I don't know what it would be like to work in a state without ratios I have no desire to find out! I do remember when the law passed here (prior to me becoming an RN), hospitals were handing out multi-thousand dollar hiring bonuses in order to be in compliance. I suspect that this is what hospitals fighting against this are fearing.
  6. Awesome! Not 100%, but I'm glad that we received so much info on how to prep and what to expect. Good luck Thursday!
  7. I JUST found this thread, hope everyone's interviews have gone well thus far! Mine is on Thursday, I'm feeling nervous but excited!
  8. Congratulations @Newbie!
  9. @Sophia- sorry to hear =[. I was a SU, and received a job offer this week to join the MICU. Needless to say, I am beyond thrilled. I feel like I won the lottery! There were two other new grads hired into the unit, but I don't know if they were super users. Best of luck to those who are still waiting to hear back!
  10. Okay well I got my rejection email. Good luck to everyone who makes it!
  11. Congrats SandyMickey! I still havnt heard anything back from my second interview! Wonder what's taking them so long!
  12. Have you ever thought about working for a health insurance company? There is a very large corporate insurance company near where I live that hires experienced RN's for 9-5 type office jobs. I'm not sure exactly what the job entails, but I would venture to guess it involves reviewing medical records/cases. There was even a nursing student in the cohort that graduated before me that works for this particular insurance company, and they paid for her entire tuition in order for her to work for them as an RN. Just thought I'd throw that suggestion out there for ya since I hadn't seen anyone else mention it yet!
  13. Mine was about 20 minutes and went really well. The manager I interviewed with didn't seem too into the questions on the list, and ended up spending most of the time talking about what her unit was like. I actually misheard the first question she asked me, and ended up rambling on about my interests and passions, which actually turned out to be a good thing because it lead to a conversation about our shared interests within nursing! Hopefully we will all find out soon that we've been hired!
  14. Good luck tomorrow everyone! My interview is at 9am, I cant wait to get it over with!
