UCLA New Grad RN 2013

Published

Hello to all prospective UCLA Nurses!

My name is Matthew and I'm a CSU Long Beach alumnus.

I'm currently working as a Super User RN for the UCLA Health System.

I hope this thread will be able to answer our questions about the application, interview process and a place for any updates anyone receives for the 2013 new grad program.

With that said, I was told by recruitment that applications will be made available in March. :)

Has anyone heard from Neurosurgery? I have an interview with the unit director Monday. I'm assuming the interview will be similar to how the other units have been as far as the type of questions asked.

Hi Everyone I interviewed for the PICU on Tuesday and today I received an email for my references to fill out an online questionaire. Does anyone know if this is standard for all applicants or should I be really excited?! Thanks![/quote']

wow it looks like each UD have their own routine. Did u take 2 letters of recommendation to ur interview ?

What unit is Neurosurgery? are you refering to 6ICU Neuro/Trauma ICU?

Its 6 North Neurosurgery/Neuro Intermediate Care Unit at RR.

the liver transplant unit director said she would continue to interview people the week of july 22nd. I got an email a few days before the week of my interview with a link to schedule the date/time of the interview.

Good luck to everyone! :)

All i can say is that I left the interview happy with my performance and thats all i could ask for. If they decide I'm a right fit for their program then great but if not then its out of my hands, I did what i could. Good luck everybody

Can you share a little bit about what they asked and about the overall flow of your interview? I'm prepping for an interview next week and would really appreciate a little head's up on what to expect, maybe it'll help calm my nerves a bit..

thanks :)

Has anyone that interviewed with 4NW (General Surgery) received an email from HR regarding reference check?

I spoke to an HR rep. They got about 2000 applications, and are still scheduling interviews for various units in the coming weeks. That's all she told me. I don't have any other information so I can't clarify anything. There's still hope!

Has anyone finished a second interview? Have one on Monday.
