I started this thread and I've been trying to stay away from it, but I just wanted to say congratulations to all of you that have interviewed and gotten job offers! :D

I spoke with HR a while back when they were done making calls for peds/PICU/NICU interviews, to "check the status" of my application, and she looked me up, and told me that I was "very well qualified" and that I "performed very well on the TalentPlus phone interview". She said that they receive so many qualified applicants that it's literally impossible to interview every one. So. Whatever that means. Now I see that some of you that were waitlisted were called for interviews, which makes their interviewing and selection process even more confusing! But that's alright, obviously for whatever reason, UCLA was not for me. :) :)

Has anyone gotten offered a position by PICU? Or heard anything after their panel interview?

I had the PICU panel interview last Thursday, but have not heard either. They told me they would get back to me by this week, so I thought they would have called by now!

How much weight was the Talent Plus interview? There's really no right or wrong answer in those questions. How soon did you find out if you got offered a job? Was any person offered a job immediately following the in person interview? Just wondering.

I still have not heard anything. They mentioned that they would let us know by Friday but now I'm wondering if maybe that was just if we got the position since today is Friday and I haven't heard anything??? Anyone else???

and Tai123...they told me that I would hear on Friday the 13th also, but I did not hear today...that's promising that none of us heard. Maybe they needed a bit more time. Good luck to you both!!!:)

I finally got a call and was offered a position in the NICU. It was a voice mail so not much more info other than I will be contacted shortly. Orientation may happen in July, and start date in August, however no dates actually confirmed.

I am relieved, very happy as it has been quite a journey to get here (countless applications). I want to wish all of you still waiting the best of luck, we all deserve this, we have all worked very hard. This thread has been informative, and above all very supportive. Difficult to imagine going through the last couple of months without sharing with you all this application journey. THANK YOU all and again best wishes to all of you.

Hi all,

i have never posted but read through this the entire time and it was helpful to me so thought I would post that I received a PICU offer on Thursday this week..I had my panel interview last Friday May 6th. I did not get any other details other than the offer for the position which I accepted. Good luck to everyone!!

My observations based on what I have read on this thread:

-Earlier in the thread someone said it was projected that UCLA would hire about 100 New Graduate RN.

-Someone said that the finale decision for the ICU units will be made on May, 16, 2011.

-Someone said that the UD have arranged for a budgetary meeting before most of the decisions will be finalized. I think that maybe the UD have already selected the candidates they want and will present those candidates file in the budgetary meeting to get final approval. After everything has been finalized by the higher authority then the UD can call they candidates that got hired. I also wonder if the UD will just let HR call the candidates I could imagine how busy UD must be. Good Luck Everyone
