Hi All! I received a call earlier this week for my first interview in L&D. Did anyone else get a call? For those who had their interviews already how did it go? Any tips on how to prepare?
Also, I was so excited and nervous when I got the call that I didn't ask how many people they are hiring.Does anyone know?

I already interviewed on Nov 10th, when did they schedule you for your first interview? (what day) The interview overall went really well it is very basic and about you. In addition, they are only hiring 6 new grads in L&D. Good luck!

No ucla does not do phone interviews. i'm from new jersey and when i first received the call for an interview, i asked HR if i could do a phone or skype interview and she said that you need to come in person.
I got a call yesterday for my first interview for the PICU (my 3rd choice) on the 29th. Any PICU people have any advice, tips? (How many they are hiring, share your experience) Any help would be very appreciated.
I interviewed for the Ronald Reagan PICU. It’s a screening interview with the director and one of the assistant directors. It’s pretty basic questions like why nursing and why the PICU? They’re very friendly. Good luck!

Congrats on getting interviewed already!! I'm scheduled for the week after thanksgiving. I will definitely let you know if I find out more detailed information about the second interview...
I'm curious was the interview 20 min or more? Were they interviewing alot of people for the unit when you had your interview? did they ask you clinical situations as well? I'm so nervous about it! Thank you for taking the time to answer my questions :)

My Interview was about 30-40 mins long. Yes they interviewed a lot of people the day i was interviewed! They began interviews at 8:00 am and interviewed the entire day, not sure when the last appt for an interview was but i know they were interviewing people at least 30 mins apart from each other ... i met this girl and her appt was at 8 am and mine was at 8:30 am so you can just imagine how many individuals they might have interviewed. No they did not ask any clinical situation questions. The Unit manager is very sweet and it will just be a very basic interview as i mentioned about you. You will do great do not stress about it =) Good Luck!!!

Hey StelRN87, I interviewed at CT ICU and nothing yet. I got a call from a 310 area code today and I swear my heart literally stopped for a second till I found out it was a wrong number!!!!!!
