I think each unit varies because each UD is different. MICU is different and fast because they hire new grads 4 times a year. Each cohort has a 3 month orientation, thus 4 times a year. The UD told me he'll be taking another cohort at the end of january. I'm not sure if the unit has a high turnover rate or what but we'll see.

each unit has a different way of hiring so I wouldn't pay much attention to things going on in units you didn't hire for...a friend of mine that is in the program gave me that advice. a frirnd was hired before she even had first interview.

I got a private message but can't reply to those so-I had emailed Mr. Flitcraft at the beginning of this week and he said he would be sending out email notifications regarding second interviews by the end of this past week. I would recommend emailing him so that you know know for sure. Good luck with everything!

pinklady: did you ask him anything any details?

For the units that are interviewing additional candidates.. did they give out calls of rejection already?

Mr Nurse-No the email I sent was just a follow up to the card I had sent and he replied by saying thanks and that he would let everyone know about the 2nd interview this week. How did you find out that they might do job offers after this interview and he told me they don't have an exact start date, did you hear anything different? Thanks!

Pinklady: I read it on the previous cohort's discussion post. Not exactly sure about the start date but he said probably in february. We'll find out Tuesday!! ahh so nervous.

Here's what he wrote me: "After the second interview offers of employment will be extended or not"

Hi everyone,

for those that interviewed for the med-surg at SM, she said she's hiring 4. does anyone know when we're supposed to hear back? Thank you!

My friend interviewed with the PICU unit almost couple of weeks ago, she mailed a thank-you card that same day, but do you think it's too pushy to send a e-mail to the person she interviewed with to ask about the next step, if there is to be one?

I just emailed the UD of the unit I interviewed for and said thank you again, and whats next step..I think its ok

No i do not think it is too pushy to send an email and ask about the next step .... this is something a lot of people ask during the interview and if your friend does not know about the next step they should ask.
