UCLA New Grad Program 2010

Published

Has anyone heard anything back from the UCLA New Grad Summer Program for 2010? I applied in the beginning of February and have only had a phone interview so far, with no feedback yet. Any info or others' experience would be much appreciated, thank you!

Previous new grads that were hired Summer 2010: just out of curiousity, what is the starting salary for us?? I know it's supposed to be one of the best and just wondering what that is! Thanks in advance :)

i believe the starting salary was $34. something. I forgot the cents but for sure the dollar amount is accurate. That was on the application information.

oh wow that is great! yeah I thought I remember seeing that on the application but couldn't remember what it said.

Did anyone get a call from UCLA about face to face interviews yet? I'm anxious already.

im still waiting too for a in-person interview. I would really love a chance to work in this hospital!

Just got a call today from UCLA to schedule an interview for the oncology unit at Santa Monica. I have to call them back on Monday. Don't know if this would be the last interview in the process or if I would have to interview with the unit manager as well. I now have a sure thing at Loma Linda University medical center so I don't know if I will continue with UCLA but at least it's reassuring to know that they wanted me for an interview. This may be a tough choice...

Wow, congrats persistancepays!! Where are you from?? And what does your status say on the UCLA website?

Anyone else hear from UCLA yet?!?!

I'm also from the San Diego area, went to CSUSM and graduated in May. I haven't checked my status at UCLA yet but I'm assuming it says something like waiting for interview. I'll go for the interview but am pretty sure I would stay with Loma Linda even if UCLA offered. Of coorifice an interview is just one more step and doesn't really mean anything yet. Hang in there, since they are taking 90, there are a least more slots open than most hospitals. You figure about 200 went on the the Talentplus interview and they eliminated some after that was done so you probably have better than 50-50 odds. I think I got called already since my first choice was oncology, which is at Santa Monica. Most of the people were applying for Peds, NICU, ER, ICU, etc.

Dont give up yet. You still have a whole week to get that call. Good luck!

Specializes in OR.

That's interesting that they decided to forego the Nurse Recruiter interview and go straight to the unit managers.
