Has anyone heard anything back from the UCLA New Grad Summer Program for 2010? I applied in the beginning of February and have only had a phone interview so far, with no feedback yet. Any info or others' experience would be much appreciated, thank you!
As far as I know, it went well. It was a very casual conversation that sparked questions between the two of us. It was nice to see the unit in person as well.
She said she was looking to hire between 8 and 10 people, but she's looking for a balance between new grads and experienced RN's. Crossing my fingers... :)
I was wondering for those who were offered position, were u given any details about the background check and physical ? I was told by the manager that were're gonna be hearing back from the program coordinator, but I called HR and they told me I'll be hearing back from the unit manager. Do any of you have info ??
TintinRN,
I don't think I will be hearing from the peds acute manager now that I have accepted in PICU, but she did say she had a lot more interviews to complete before she made a decision. She said I if I didn't hear back by the end of July to give her a call. Sorta last minute for those who have to put notice in on apts and relocate, so hopefully it will be sooner! Best of luck, have you interviewed yet?
I was called to schedule my third interview today for the PICU (with the unit manager, I believe). I am really nervous. Can anyone give me any tips? How did the interview go? I got so nervous during my second interview that I blanked out when my interviewer asked me some content questions I didn't even think I'd get this far, but now that I still have a little bit of chance, I want to be a little more prepared. Any tips would help.
Thanks. And congrats to all who got offered a position.

So...what did you think? Did she say how many more she is hiring? I know that she has already hired at least one. I accepted another job anyway, but was just curious. I was the first one she interviewed. :)
