UCLA MECN 2021

Hi everyone!

I am planning on applying to UCLA's MECN program for 2021 and since I did not see a thread here yet I wanted to get one going for us to share questions and concerns. Good luck to everyone!

Hi guys! I am new to this thread but I am a recent graduate with a BS in Neuroscience and I just applied for this program! Do y'all know when acceptances will come out? I hate the waiting game and I'm so anxious about the results ?

Hey!! Welcome ? We’re all anxious over here too! Based on the allnurses platform from previous years, it looks like we won’t hear anything until like February ?

Yes, they said during the information session that they try their best to get decisions out in the beginning of February, but I have seen previous thread that range from beginning to end of February. It seems like they also usually accept people from the waitlist into the teens!

Hi! I'm a current MECN 1 and I got my acceptance email from *** on Feb 6 last year.

Has anybody's LOR writers submitted their letter yet? My previous professor said never got an email from the school. Im not sure if this has happened to anyone else. Not sure how to resend it either since the website doesn't show an option.

My rec writers got their email the same day I submitted. They all have submitted it now but before they did I remember there being a link on the grad school app page where it said you could send a reminder. Maybe that re-sends them the link?

Wow thank you so much! I was able to find the page to resend the request. Hopefully they get it this time.

Hi all! Has anyone sent updated transcripts in since applying? Mine are finally coming in at the end of the semester and I was curious if you just emailed them directly to someone on the admissions team.

I received an email with instructions in getting my final items in! It went straight to junk mail so check there!
