UCLA MECN 2021

I am planning on applying to UCLA's MECN program for 2021 and since I did not see a thread here yet I wanted to get one going for us to share questions and concerns. Good luck to everyone!

I was wondering if anyone knows the preferred way to submit proof of AP scores?

Hi all! Does anyone know what to do if you have prerequisites from a bunch of places on the transcripts page? As I was entering them under the transcripts page, I think I maxed out on the number allowed because I can't upload any more.

@lilyrose212 I believe the "Academic History & Transcripts" tab is only for your bachelor's degree. You can add transcripts of your prereqs in "Supporting Documents".

Thank you!! To answer your question about AP scores, I think that same supporting docs section if you have anything from The College Board showing your exam score that would probably suffice until they ask for official documents upon admission. The whole admissions team is super helpful and quick to reply if you want to ask them to be sure!

Mines too... I don't meet the minimum but I am really close and all my prerequisites are As and Bs so I am taking a chance. Plus I have over 2500 community service hours. Im just taking my best shot.

What was your undergrad GPA when you applied last year? If you don't mind me asking. I am worried as well.

For the prereq, Can I just use a stats class or does it have to be bio stats specifically?

@maryam have you checked the approved prerequisites page? https://www.nursing.ucla.edu/admissions/degree-programs/MSN-masters-entry-clinical-nurse-mecn/MSN-mecn-prerequisite-courses

I fulfilled the stats requirement with a psychological statistics course.

Quick question, do we have to have all of our recommendations in by the time we submit? I’m still waiting on one of my professors to submit hers ?

I read on it that its due jan 1st. let me find the page
