Hi everyone!
I am planning on applying to UCLA's MECN program for 2021 and since I did not see a thread here yet I wanted to get one going for us to share questions and concerns. Good luck to everyone!
@lilyrose212 I'm sticking to the word count since "up to 500 words in length" is explicitly stated on the application
@Stephanie Henriquez I was planning to take Epi in the Summer so hopefully it's still offered!

Hey! So current mecn here, as long as you take it and finish the course before starting the program, you’re good! Many of us did the UC Berkeley extension online for about $450. Or you can take it at the school for about $2k. The school one turned online due to covid but that may change next Summer. ------------------------- had us enter the info onto the application like this: see attached picture. Hope that helps!

Hi, mine is about 490ish something words; single spaced, 12pt times new roman font and 1 inch margins.

aaaaaah thank you so much! I really appreciate the help! Very helpful indeed.
I reapplied for Fall 2021 and have been working as a CNA almost two years. I completed all my pre-requisites with mostly A's and B's, but I fall short because of my undergrad GPA. At this point, I'm just going to apply to community colleges or proprietary schools. I'm already 34 and feel like I'm getting too old to keep trying to apply to MSN programs.

Congrats to you for continuing to try! Did they ever give you feedback on your first application? It's my first time applying and I'm really worried because my undergrad GPA is SUPER terrible.
