Hey there, I am planning on applying to the UCLA MECN 2016 program and was wondering if anyone else out there was applying as well. Just curious about other applicants and hoping to go through this application process with some other people! Would love any feedback. Thanks :)
@ RXtobeRN... thanks! And it is but totally worth it. I'm already taking 21 and 22 units for Winter and Spring already so whats a few more classes in the summer, right? lol. Seriously though, whatever it takes..
Just a heads up guys, classes are filling up quick and some are already closed! If you have outstanding courses, I'd sign up soon.
Hey all,Just found this thread and thought I would input my info to help or get help. Just got the news unexpectedly today (2/17 @ 8:30am) that I was waitlisted. Received a generic email that asked me to confirm my offer to be waitlisted. In my response, I asked for my rank number and if I would find out when they no longer are accepting waitlisters. Got a reply from RF that just said "36."
Feeling pretty blue. Based on the research I've done, doubt I'll get bumped out to in from 36, but determined to try again. Really poor right now and not sure if registering for Epi is a good idea at this spot. Need to sleep on it.
Best of luck to all of you and all feedback is really appreciated
You need to find out the class size they are accepting this year. This should help guide your decision. One year they accepted 90 and easily surpassed your number deep into the waiting list.
Just got an email from R and was accepted also, pretty stoked!
In an attachment to the email it said that I still need to take the epidemiology class and that enrollment is guaranteed if you have been accepted into the program. I did not get the impression that that was the case for other classes people might need (anatomy etc). Basically every MECN student probably still has to take Epi so they guarantee we will get into that class.
Congrats @hanabi! I wonder how much the Epi class will cost at UCLA? Is it rolled into our yearly tuition? BYU Online is about $540.
Not sure about the cost. In fact, the cost for the whole program is a little confusing to me if anyone could illuminate me on that one. Is it like $48,000 for the first year only? Does that include predicted housing costs?
If you take epi somewhere other than UCLA just make sure they accept it!
