UCLA MECN Fall 2020

Hello All!

I'm applying to UCLA's MECN program this year for Fall 2020. Who else is applying? I hope we can all support each other through this process. ?

What are some of the questions you may have about the application process?

I didnt recieve an email but I checked my grad status portal and it was updated with the official acceptance letter from graduate division ?

Out of curiosity, did anyone's admission letter/information include any scholarship monies or information?

The letter says "Due to the generosity of the UCLA Graduate Division, every admitted student who applies for financial aid will receive a scholarship/fellowship"

There was also a financial aid doc with some information about financial aid and scholarships that will be sent out in may. No amounts were stated.

Yeah, the letter explains the process and timing for scholarship apps, I don’t think anything is awarded to anyone yet. Apps will be due in May, according to the letter that came with the email from Mark.

I want to call MC to get an update on whether they’re still sending out acceptances but I’ll just wait to see if we receive anything by Tuesday

No, I haven’t. I emailed Mark since I had an issue with my application prior to so I wanted to make sure it was at least reviewed. He said yes but not all acceptances have been sent out, so I believe there is hope guys. Hang in there and cross you fingers!

It really makes me nervous that the financial aid letters come back so late.. anyone else worried?

worried no, but it will be the biggest factor in deciding between UCLA and JHU. That statement is way too broad to make a decision.
