UCLA MECN Fall 2014?

Published

Hi- Is anyone applying to UCLA's MECN program for next fall?

Has the admissions office actually said the week of the 14th? Haha this is driving me crazy!

Last I heard was "mid to late April".

I heard the same. So the latest would be the 30th. Is everyone here applying to CA schools?? I just applied to NYU but the rest of mine were CA.

Wow, okay that's a long way off from the beginning of March. Thanks for letting us know!

UCLA was the only CA school I applied to (I'm an AZ resident), but I'm keeping my fingers crossed!

Haha, I'm betting on it being the last week of April. That's how this process has rolled this year... So, within the next 28 days ;)

This is so annoying! I've been accepted to both CSUN and CSULA programs. I've accepted CSUN only, because the cost was too high and the time too long at CSULA. UCLA is the only other school I've applied to...but being accepted by the other two programs is a good sign right?! I'm going crazy. I just really want to back out of CSUN BEFORE their orientation on April 18th if UCLA accepts me. I mean, really UCLA, people have other stuff going on and would like an answer from you!

I just received this email a few minutes ago. Hopefully, this message will help all of us to calm down a bit :)

"Admission decisions for the MECN Program will be made mid April. You will receive an email from Graduate Division and a letter from the School of Nursing. "

I am very antsy myself too. At least we know now that the decision won't be at the end of this month.

Thanks for sharing!

Thanks annemarreb for reaching out to them. Seriously long wait. Crazy!

Thank you so much for sharing that. I e-mailed them a week ago and haven't heard back. I want to start a countdown but don't want to be disappointed if they push it back farther!

I just realized I could potentially hear back from all my remaining schools during the same week. UCLA, U.San Fran, and NYU. not sure if that's good or bad. I guess terrible if it's all rejections. lol.

Hey everyone! Has anyone come across info about the MECN program about student:preceptor ratios during clinicals and the total number of clinical hours in the program? I couldn't seem to find this info on their website. Was thinking of emailing admissions but trying not to bug them so they get our notifications out to us sooner. Thanks!!
