UCLA MECN Fall 2014?

The worst part is everyone you know saying things like "hey do you know yet? what could be taking so long?" And you having to explain over and over..... well first is was this date and then we thought we would hear back at this time.....now its really on its way...I think. Haha

I have been reading this thread since the beginning....38 pages ago. This is my first comment on it, though. Not to be a broken record, but I am going crazy with anticipation, too. I hope it's coming this week!

The program is very intense and you have 18 units per quarter. Working seems out of the question but it's kind of like your parents telling you what not to do, you have to do it anyway and later find out they were right.

I called the office of admissions today and asked about the particularly hard situation I have been having with my transcripts. I spoke with -----------------, who is the admissions coordinator. He told me I was still in the game and that I just have to wait two more weeks to know their decision! So it is confirmed, two more weeks and we all know. I'm experiencing the same feelings every time I play the lottery.

Would have to agree with get2thechoppa. I am so not impressed with the way this has been handled. They were almost pompous about the date of "no later than mid March" at the info session day. They could have sent an email to the applicant pool to keep us up-to-date. I have already committed to another program, so I am not hanging waiting for them; however, to see all other folks who really want to be a part of this program stressing out and patiently waiting, hoping today will be the day they hear something!

I have been reading all the post and like all of you I am trying to stay as patient as possible but man I hate getting the run around:madface:. It seems like there favorite thing to tell us all who call or email "you will know in 2 weeks"....... The whole two weeks thing is starting to get old, hope we all find out before Easter but at this rate we may not know until 2 weeks after Easter.

Yeah, "mid-April" would mean no later than next week... not the 21st. At this point, I'm not believing anything they say until I have letter in hand.
