UCI MEPN Fall 2020

Hi Everyone,

Didn't see a forum for UCI's MEPN Fall 2020 application cycle so I thought I would start one! I'll introduce myself:

Recent grad from undergrad. Relatively low GPA but large amount of clinical experience as a research assistant at a large hospital. Hoping it will help me. Good luck to everyone applying!

Yeah I was waiting for an interview invite during a second wave as well... I guess we’ll have to wait for an official email for a rejection? ?

Did anyone get rejection letters?

I read here some people got acceptance letters.

I wrote them and they said they will be notifying early Spring.

Isn't it early Spring already? I have not gotten my rejection letter yet

No I interviewed online like probably two weeks ago and waiting to hear I hope I get a shot

From what I gathered, people have until April 15th to confirm or turn down an acceptance. They have an active list of people they will admit pending people making their final decisions. I anticipate everyone will know by early May if they get in or not.

I accepted my spot today, and I'm stoked! I'll be commuting from LA for the majority of the program. I was on the fence, but after talking to some of the students, this program seems like a wonderful opportunity and can't wait to get started.

@kvt1013 I accepted my offer too! Do you happen to know if there is a facebook page or something else where we can meet other students that have been accepted into the MEPN program?

Email I received when I checked on my application:

All applications for our MEPN program are still currently under review. You will receive all official information and communications about your individual application status via email.

We’re working as quickly as we can to notify applicants of their admissions status and don’t anticipate a significant delay given the recent COVID19 developments, we hope to have final decisions completed by early Spring.

Sounds like a rejection to me. I didn’t receive an interview.
