  1. Are you serious? That would be fantastic but I heard they want to open everything in July
  2. I am looking at the schedule for Spring 2020, which I am guessing will be very similar to Spring 2021 and I see that schedule for example: Briefing: Monday 1400‐1500 RM XX CL: Tuesday 0700‐1700 CNSL: 2/18 0730‐1130 OB; 2/21 1215‐1615 IVPB; 2/28 0730‐1130 IV start; 3/6 0730‐1515 Ortho/Post Mortem; Tuesday, from 7 am till 5 pm. Is that how long we have to stay for clinical? I am just trying to figure out in advance because I have kids and I have no idea what do with such schedule. That is for nursing 11 For nursing 22 is also almost impossible for me: Tues 0700-1930 ICU orientation 4/29 1300-1330 So I am trying to figure out what to do and whom to ask for help because I have to wake my kids up literally at 5 or so to be there at 7 am and then come back home after 8 pm. Do we really have to be in the hospital for so long?

  4. Thank you, guys for your comments. I am currently looking at the schedule in the community college and the schedule is like I have to leave my kid somewhere at 5 am and before that I have to wake him at at 430 am at least. and them I will come back home around 8pm. I have no idea where and with whom I would leave him. I also looked at the schedule in a private nursing school, it is completely awesome.
  5. Thanks, I have been thinking about it. My other thoughts currently also a schedule in the school, where I got in. It is a state school and not expensive. The private schools also have extremely family oriented schedules which allow single parents like me to manage family life and education. I really feel broken into pieces now with everything and cannot decide what I want in life and this is after I put so much effort.
  6. Hey guys, I have been always dreaming of becoming a nurse and finally I got into a nursing school! But before that happened I got underlying health condition (arthritis) and I cannot even get plaquenil now because of statewide shortage and I understand it is more important for other people . That changes everything for me if I get COVID-19. I am not saying I can get infected now but this disease generally has given me some thoughts to think about my future: do I really need to be a nurse? Can I do something else? What will my child do if I die some day because I get infected with something being a nurse? Will my child go a foster care (I am a single parent with no relatives nearby). Am I am overthinking it? Should I just drop everything and get ready for another career, let us say being a teacher? anything else but the nurse? I put everything into this, everything to get it. I put my job on hold, I am broke and I got in! I got in and the worst thing that could ever happen is that I am confused and hesitant now. Am I a coward or just more careful than ever? I am scared, terrified, alone and do not know what to do. I see some nurses quit jobs to protect their families, some nurses even get laid off even at this time even though everyone needs nurses now. I am confused. Any of your advice would be much appreciated.
  7. Yes, I got it just now. What in the world in the conditional acceptance to CEP? Does it mean alternative or we are accepted?
  8. I figured it out but @Futurenurse246 answered to @fobymomo "Can those who were accepted for conditional admission reply with the deadlines/dates in which you have to make a decision by? Thank you! " so @Futurenurse246 said to that question: "So far all it says is background check by April 10, which I just did! No mention of a deposit yet..." So I thought maybe even I am thinking what you are thinking, maybe I got the wrong email with missing dates? Clear communication is important to eliminate confusion. But thanks!
  9. Where do you see background check April 10? That was I got. No April 10.... Dear Applicant, I am pleased to inform you that you have been placed on an alternate list for conditional admission to the BSN Nursing Program for Fall 2020 at California State University, Fullerton. Applicants were selected for conditional admission and additional students were also selected for an alternate list to replace any students that do not accept their conditional admission offer. You are now on the alternate list and will be contacted by me via email from [email protected] if space becomes available. Please do not contact the School of Nursing for your place on the alternate list. The alternate list is constantly in flux so we are unable to inform you of your place on the alternate list. You could be offered admission up until the end of June, 2020. You are to be commended on a competitive application and we want to thank you for your interest in California State University, Fullerton.
  10. I received the same message a while ago. But aren't we in the early Spring? Best wishes in everything!
  11. I was also offered conditional admisson
  12. I think nowadays, even medical professionals do not really know what to do. They just follow the protocol and even social distancing is not working well. I am really concerned about it now. But I am waiting for an acceptance letter
  13. What do you guys think about the recent dangers of coronavirus? I mean we will be the first on the front line any time when such things come. Aren't you scared for yourself and your families being a nurse? Just wondering because one of my family members said that. I still want to be a nurse though but what is your opinion on that?
  14. I was told that too but I do not know if that is for CEP or ADN. Do you know if that is for CEP or ADN?
