UCI MEPN Fall 2020

Hi Everyone,

Didn't see a forum for UCI's MEPN Fall 2020 application cycle so I thought I would start one! I'll introduce myself:

Recent grad from undergrad. Relatively low GPA but large amount of clinical experience as a research assistant at a large hospital. Hoping it will help me. Good luck to everyone applying!

Does anyone know how long apart the waves were for the interview notifications last year?

Last year, I read there were two waves of interviews and that is what I am hoping for. That is my first choice school. You can search for a similar thread but for the last year and read the replies

I have a really specific problem.

I received an interview invitation last week. And then the same day I got a really bad case of laryngitis, and effectively I haven't been able to speak loudly/properly for a few days. I'm trying to drink tea and minimize talking so i can do my interview recording, but I'm a little worried I won't have my voice back in time to complete it by the deadline.

I emailed the nursing department about this, but haven't heard back. Any advice?

I feel this I’ve been fighting an awful cold the past few days. What did you end up doing? I’m trying to rest up today so I can prepare and get it done tomm

I did it on Wednesday and I was at about 75% vocal capacity. I totally bombed, but it's OK. I got into one school in SoCal already so if it doesn't work out here, I won't be crushed.

Hello! so basically, you get to look at the questions for about 1 minute before you answer the question. once you do a little brainstorming, you can record you answer for about 2-3 minutes! Hope that helps!
