UCI MEPN Fall 2020

Hi Everyone,

Didn't see a forum for UCI's MEPN Fall 2020 application cycle so I thought I would start one! I'll introduce myself:

Recent grad from undergrad. Relatively low GPA but large amount of clinical experience as a research assistant at a large hospital. Hoping it will help me. Good luck to everyone applying!

I also haven’t heard back since I interviewed and am anxious

Has anyone heard back for an interview yet?
They still didn’t reject me or offer any interviews!

I’m in the same boat! No interview and no rejection. Weird

Yeah same here! I have read on this thread though that some have gotten interviews and admissions decisions shortly after those interviews

Hi Everyone,

Just thought I should let you know that I received a rejection email earlier today. It sucks but I guess it wasn’t meant to be. Congratulations to everyone who was accepted!!

I just gotta keep trying and don’t give up.

Got my rejection too sadly I’m bummed because this programs cost was so ideal for entry level MSN in California

@alyvee I would love to hear what your experience is in the program and do you believe it prepares you to be a masters prepared nurse versus a bachelor's? I was looking through the curriculum and I didn't see anything that significantly stood out other than courses focusing on vulnerable populations, but that's only me glancing than experiencing it so I'd love to hear your feedback!
