Hello Everyone! Anyone applying for the MEPN Program at UC Irvine this year? Keep us updated if you receive any new information from the school! :)
Been reading this thread since February and wanted to jump in since I just called the SON at 8:05am PST. The woman on the phone was not that helpful and she clearly didn't care how anxious we are all to hear about interviews. The only update I can give is she kept reiterating that "you will be notified by the end of the first week of March" but didn't state if that was Friday 3/8 or Sunday 3/10.
Another point is that after she put me on hold she returned to say that "the admissions ran into some technical issues so you will know by next week"...to which I tried to get more specific insight and she didn't give me any.
She didn't want to be any more specific and I could tell I was irritating her so I just said thank you and ended the call. Maybe if some other applicants call to figure out the issue they will realize how anxious we are all to hear back.
Good Luck to everyone! I'm still a bundle of nerves over here

Soooo... not by the end of the first week of March? I was SO ready to have some closure by the time this day is over lol ugh!
Also yes, thanks for calling in and letting us know what's up!
Last year when I applied to a school, interview notifications came a week after the date they gave us and today I got into a school 4 days after interviewing even thought they told me 6 WEEKS. USD got over 900 applicants this year (see USD’s forum on here for confirmation), most of them highly qualified. Even though UCI’s website says they get 300-400 applicants, I’m betting this year it’s closer to 1000 based on USD’s #, and for 28 spots! They’re in way over their heads. At least they are taking their time I guess. I can’t imagine how hard it is to weed out that many qualified applicants even before interviews so I get why they’re not meeting their deadlines, but I know this process is so stressful for us.

I saw that thread too, what a scary app cycle lol! I totally understand and don't necessarily blame them, just getting antsy and was hoping to be put out of my misery haha. Congrats on getting into a program! Was it your top choice?

When you called did you have to leave a voicemail and wait for them to call you? I tried calling twice today but it went straight to vm

Everyone - check your emails. Just got this:
"Thank you for applying for the Master’s Entry Program in Nursing at the UCI Sue & Bill Gross School of Nursing.
As an update, we are still in the process of finalizing our application review process. If you are selected for an interview, you will be notified by the end of Monday, March 11, 2018.
Interviews will be conducted online so you will not need to travel to UC Irvine for interviews.
We apologize for the delay."
Have a great weekend, enjoy some sunshine and fresh air if you can. Talk you guys Monday for the big day! Cheers! ❤️

Jumping in for the first time, I found this board because I haven't heard back and it's the 8th at 7:30am PST. Glad to see it's not just me. I hope they send out soon because I'm frazzled. The post about "is the 7th the end of the first week or the 8th?" was super relatable. Best of luck to you all.
