UCF Traditional and Accelerated BSN-2014

Published

Hello!

The application window starts January 1st, which is a couple weeks away from now. I am excited to apply though and see what happens. Who else is planning to apply here?

I am planning on applying to both the accelerated and traditional pathways.

Hi, Everyone!

I applied to the Accelerated BSN program for 2014. I have been following this post since I applied- checking more and more frequently as the decision days approached! I have been so worried about being accepted or denied but I found out yesterday that I have been accepted! (such a relief) For anyone that's curious, my stats were: Cumulative GPA 3.71, Prerequisite GPA 3.88, TEAS 88.

I can't wait to send my acceptance RSVP in and get started in the program! UCF Accelerated was my first choice. I'm nervous and excited! Congratulations to everyone else that got accepted to UCF or to other programs.

I also got waitlisted, I wish they could tell you your position on the waitlist though because it seems like the first 5 or so have a great shot of getting in due to people going elsewhere whereas the bottom 15 or so might as well just be outright denied. All I got out of the representative I talked to was that this year there was around 34 people placed on the list.

I had a similar conversation with her also. I also got waitlisted at USF.

So... Who is left and still waiting for a decision for UCF's basic program besides me?!

I am applying to the concurrent on April 1st if I do not hear anything.

I am already on the wait list for Valencia's basic program so all I need to do on their end to apply to the concurrent program is to complete a form. UCF said I would need to complete another Survey. Anyone know what the Survey is they are referring to?

Congrats to to everyone who was accepted to the accelerated program! It must be a wonderful feeling!

I am still waiting for a decision for the Basic BSN program also!! I've been following this thread for awhile now, but finally took the time to set up an account. This wait is killing me, thank goodness the decisions should be out within a couple of weeks!!

I am also patiently (or maybe not so patiently) awaiting an answer about the basic BSN program. Hopefully since accelerated has already been decided we will get news soon. Six weeks begins the 29th so I don't expect to hear back sooner than that but if I did that would be amazing.

They told us we have to make our decisions for the accelerated by April 4th so maybe that's around when the basic decisions come out. They'll finish dealing with one group then move on to the next maybe? We found out about 3 days after the six week deadline. GOOD LUCK to everyone :)

I am still waiting for the Basic BSN announcement as well. Was going to apply to USF but they require quite a bit more credit hours than UCF. Hopefully we will find out soon. (:

Hi everybody! My name is Jessica, I graduated from UF this past December with my Bachelors in Psychology, and I just got accepted into the accelerated nursing BSN program. I'm beyond excited to start!

I am moving down to Orlando near the end of April. I'm still looking for a place but I was wondering if there are any other students who are moving down to Orlando too and are looking! It would be nice to live with other people working toward the same goal.

I am also going to UCF orientation Friday, April 4th, so if anyone else is signed up for that day, feel free to email me ([email protected]) . Would love to meet some of you guys.

Jess

I would love to meet some of you guys too who were also accepted into the accelerated program! We should make a Facebook page or something lol

I will be accepting the summer ABSN. I'm excited to start.

I've just started to gather the required information. I wish the college recommended placed to get CPR certified, etc.

Hi everyone! I was recently accepted into the 2014 UCF Accelerated Program and couldn't be happier about it!! I sent my reply in the same day I got the acceptance email, but still haven't received any word on what steps I need to take next. Has anyone gotten a follow-up email from the UCF College of Nursing? Looking forward to seeing you all in May!! & Yes, I think we need a Facebook page :o)
