UCF Traditional and Accelerated BSN-2014

Hello!

The application window starts January 1st, which is a couple weeks away from now. I am excited to apply though and see what happens. Who else is planning to apply here?

I am planning on applying to both the accelerated and traditional pathways.

You might want to email them again because I got an email with a bunch of attachments for things we have to do before the program starts. There's a paper you have to sign and return by April 4 to claim your spot in the program!

I got a reply email with different attachments a couple days ago. I'm so excited to start.

A facebook page would be awesome, someone needs to get that started ;)

The wait for basic program acceptance letters is killing me! Someone told me that they are looking to send them out closer to the eighth week. Anybody else here this or something new?

Hi everybody. Just wanted to say that last year, the application window ended on February 15th. And decisions for interview spots went out on Good Friday (March 29th) for UCF basic BSN. I had a 3.1 overall GPA, a science pre req GPA of 3.65, a pre re req GPA of 3.5 and a teas score of 84 and got an invitation to interview. Then I was wait listed 3 days after the interview. Then they emailed me in August saying there was not enough space for me and I should reapply again during the next cycle.

This year, my overall gpa went up to a 3.2. I retook my teas and although my individual scores went up, I still only got an 84. My pre req gpa stayed the same.

I am so nervous that since they aren't doing interviews this year, I won't have a spot. I hope that I wake up tomorrow and find that I have an email of acceptance. If the scheduled release of emails is for week 6 then we should find out tomorrow. If it isn't then at least we know we have only two more weeks of waiting!!!

I also applied to the ucf/ssc concurrent program.

I have not called on the basic progress either... At this point I will just assume it will be another week or two. Hang in there everyone!

Are they emailing us through our knights email even if we are not a student? Like a transfer students from another college and i have been accepted into Ucf, but i have not gone to orientation because i have been waiting to hear back about the Basic BSN.

Will they send it to my alternative email?

MY NERVES ARE SHOT I JUST WANT TO HEAR BACK!!! I HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS SINCE MY SOPHOMORE YEAR OF HIGH SCHOOL

They'll email you on the address on your application, I believe. Each time I have applied, I have been notified regarding the response through my personal email. Once accepted, they'll request your knights email for correspondence. Also, last year I waited to be accepted into the program before I attended any orientation. The first time I applied my notifications went to my junk folder, so make sure to check there if you haven't received anything when everyone else has.

Hello

We only have 12 more days to wait at most :-)

I scheduled my standard orientation for UCF for May 9 because I wanted to wait to find out whether I was accepted to the nursing program.

Also, tomorrow the application window opens for the UCF/Valencia concurrent program. I think I'll wait a week before applying to see if I get an answer for the basic first.

I REALLY hope we get an answer soon.
