Hello!
The application window starts January 1st, which is a couple weeks away from now. I am excited to apply though and see what happens. Who else is planning to apply here?
I am planning on applying to both the accelerated and traditional pathways.
I think you're right and UCF is pretty much last! I'm surprised we haven't heard yet since they cancelled interviews and told someone on here (sorry can't remember your username!) that they were actively working on making a decison. I guess those of us with other offers will either have to accept those or take a chance and pray for acceptance at UCF :/ There's really no good way and I wish the schools would be a bit more cooperative. The lady at UCF was not very nice when I called....
That's what I'm thinking Lexi; however, it really puts you guys in a tough spot with other schools. Praying it comes sooner rather than later.
Maybe it's a sign?
Good to know I'm not the only one dying over here! I guess all we can do for now is think happy thoughts. Lordgloom, maybe we can meet up at orientation? I know there will be hundreds of people to sort through but maybe you could e-mail me your number if you don't feel comfortable posting it on here? My e-mail is [email protected]
I wonder if there's more to the selection process at UCF than at the other schools. It seems like their application has more criteria than USF, for instance. It might take more people to complete the selection. USF's application basically looks like a computer could select the winners and a person could OK the writing samples. UCF wants GPA, prereqs., TEAS, AND a background check. Also, there is the New Careers in Nursing Scholarship that they're doing at the same time. It has different forms to fill out and an essay to write. I believe that they award it, or not, when they make someone an offer.
Does anyone know if UCF's Orlando orientation will be sufficient for both the normal BSN AND the concurrent programs? I'm applying to one of the concurrents as a safety. I may need to orient for UCF prior to getting an answer, (especially if they take until April 1), just because the other orientation dates will make me miss work and earnings. If the worst happens, I'm hoping the orientation may be good for my safety application at the concurrent school...

Could definitely be it. Still hoping for something soon.
