Hello!
The application window starts January 1st, which is a couple weeks away from now. I am excited to apply though and see what happens. Who else is planning to apply here?
I am planning on applying to both the accelerated and traditional pathways.
I've became a fan in childhood as well. I just can't seem to get over that love of it all, although I don't follow any of the new things really. But Nurse Joy, to me, always symbolized a good adult example and of course a good nurse. So it's funny you'd pick that image.
Nice to meet you, though. :) Are you a current student anywhere?
I'm still at Seminole State, although I graduate at the end of this semester. Then I just have to take Spanish 2 as an A term in summer and I'm all prepared for UCF.
Well, the countdown begins tomorrow. (I miscalculated before, and forgot today is the deadline)
I hope everyone has submitted all their documents and I wish you all luck! Hopefully we will all find comfort in talking among ourselves here until decision time, and then go on to have a nice set of study partners for UCF when the time comes. :)
Hello everyone! I'm new to this thread, but I applied to UCF's Basic BSN as well. I was wondering if anyone knows how many applicants applied to the basic program. Someone told me that about 500 people applied, I was wondering if that was true or not. Also, I am going to have a hard time waiting 6 to 8 weeks. I hope I'm not alone. Good luck to everyone who has applied!
Hey guys I applied as well. I'm seeing a lot of good stats out here and I just figured I'd throw mine out there.
Over all GPA: 3.75
Pre-req GPA: 4.0
TEAS: 80 (I hated taking that test)
Do you feel I'm competitive? I'm freaking out over here lmao. I've worked so hard and I feel like this TEAS is what is holding me back

I think while the Teas test can be higher, many applicants have gotten accepted into a program with a 4.0 pere-req with a lower 80 Teas score. I know that the average of those accepted is 85-87 Teas, but again thats the average so some will be higher and others will be lower.
I talked to a current nursing student and highly recommended applying to the concurrent programs, she had a 86 teas score and was rejected...twice...
Also to the poster who wanted to know how many applicants there were, while I (and it seems like no one knows) I recommend asking the program directly for the average..
missind33,
Do you know what their prerequisite GPA was who scored a 86 on the TEAS?
Professorkeith, I hear you! I feel the same way about the TEAS. I am really good at english but when it comes to prepositions and the rules of the language, I never really "got it." I just memorized what looked right and have done really well in English so this test was difficult for me. I ended up scoring an 82.7 . It's so weird to see so many people score 88-92 with little to no studying and I studied pretty hard for it and came up short. I am hoping my TEAS with an 3.88 prerequisite GPA and a 3.78 overall will be enough otherwise I may end up having to go to USF *blehk* or perhaps Valencias/Seminole's concurrent program.

Thank you ivoryleola! Finding out the College of Nursing's decisions at 6 weeks would be wonderful.
Haha! I was a fan when I was younger... Good childhood memory.
