UCF Traditional and Accelerated BSN-2014

Published

Hello!

The application window starts January 1st, which is a couple weeks away from now. I am excited to apply though and see what happens. Who else is planning to apply here?

I am planning on applying to both the accelerated and traditional pathways.

I agree whole heartedly with missind33. You guys rock! Thank you so very much for taking time out of your day to come in and give us all some hope. I'm sure we are all getting to that point where we just hope to be in, yet we aren't quite sure what to expect whenever we do get the acceptance email we all long for. But to hear great praise for the program and such kind words of encouragement is very unexpected and so very kind. So thank you. I hope to someday be in your shoes, and I will definitely pay it forward in return for all of your kindness (that goes for all current and former UCF nursing students who have commented here) when I get that chance.

I have applied to UCF's basic program. I have a 4.0 cum/ and 4.0 pre-req. Unfortunately I only scored a 79.3% on the TEAS test. I am studying to take it again prior to the Feb. 15th deadline. I feel like I am not competitive with this test score even with my GPA. Does anyone know which will carry more weight in regards to the acceptance decision making? :( Just worried that I won't score high enough on the TEAS to make a difference.

Weiser, your prerequisite GPA and TEAS score from what I heard mean the most. Cumulative GPA has an impact on the decision as well but not as much. I would retake the TEAS if you can.

Hello everyone! What an informational thread! It really helps with the admission decision waiting game. Who here has applied for the 2014 accelerated track? Does anyone know how many people applied this year, or any stats related to those who applied?

I applied to both the accelerated and basic programs!

I retake the TEAS tomorrow...wish me luck :geek:

Kristenleigh, me too! I hope we all get in to one : )

weiser, have fun!

Weiser, I am retaking the TEAS today as well. Where are you taking it at?

Hello Future-Murse,

I did take the TEAS today ...at Valencia. I did not have much preparation time but still managed to raise my score to 83.3. I did not do as well as I had wished but it is what it is! Hope everyone else did well :)

Now we wait!

Good luck everyone!! I applied to the accelerated track

Hello there!

I've been following this thread for a while now and have finally decided to join. I've applied to UCF's Basic BSN Program.

Good luck everyone!! :)

Welcome all you newcomers! Good luck!! Countdown begins tomorrow, so here's hoping we all get an answer at 6 weeks instead of 8. :)

Joyful14, am I mistaken in guessing that you're a Pokemon fan?
