Hello, I plan on applying to UCF's traditional BSN program in the fall of 2015. Although there is still some time before the application period begins I wanted to start this thread to get the ball rolling for all of us that plan on applying. Also I wanted to see what the application pool is looking like for this cycle in regards to stats. Mine go as this:
Cum. GPA: 3.73
Pre. Req. GPA: 3.84
as for the teas I take it next month
(Wish me luck I've been studying a lot for it, so if u have any tips feel free..lol)
Hope to be hearing back from some of you prospective students with your stats, questions/comments w.e it may be :)
P.s. past students that want to share their experience with the UCF program so far, are also welcome :)
Ahhhhhhhhhhh! At least I have very active kids to keep me busy! I will definitely become a hot, anxious mess near the end! Good luck everyone! And, FYI - my prereqs took a while to update. Originally they denied me because the undergrad admissions marked them received but didn't enter anything. A phone call fixed it though! Just keep an eye on it. If for some reason there is an issue they will email you and you will have one week to fix it, even though the deadline has passed.
My daughter turns 11 in one week and she plays fast pitch softball competitively. She practices twice a week and has a private pitching lesson on a non-practice day. Then, on top of all that practice we play two tournaments a month. This weekend she had three games on Saturday and two games on Sunday. They are a great team and very well known in the community. I also have a four year old son who keeps me VERY busy! We just signed him up for VPK and registered him so that he would be in a good school when I start, wherever I start, in August :)
As far as RN's go in general, they are needed! Just search for RN positions in the Orlando area and the job listings are endless. I personally believe that a lot has to do with your preference (do you want to work days, nights, weekends, etc). Most of my friends who have graduated with their BSN are offered a position where they have established contacts and built a reputation during clinicals. There will always be a need for good nurses :) You can search careers through specific hospitals or you can do a general search through sites like indeed. IDK if that answers your question.
