Hello, I plan on applying to UCF's traditional BSN program in the fall of 2015. Although there is still some time before the application period begins I wanted to start this thread to get the ball rolling for all of us that plan on applying. Also I wanted to see what the application pool is looking like for this cycle in regards to stats. Mine go as this:
Cum. GPA: 3.73
Pre. Req. GPA: 3.84
as for the teas I take it next month
(Wish me luck I've been studying a lot for it, so if u have any tips feel free..lol)
Hope to be hearing back from some of you prospective students with your stats, questions/comments w.e it may be :)
P.s. past students that want to share their experience with the UCF program so far, are also welcome :)
I also got the email stating that I need to register for Orientation. I agree! If I am accepted into the program I will do the standard orientation in May :) Side note... I went to a concurrent information session and they did tell us that if you are accepted to the concurrent program you do an orientation for the CON which also includes the standard orientation information. So, I wonder if there is something similar for nursing students for the Traditional BSN - Has anyone been to an info session?
I was going to go to the info session tomorrow for the Basic BSN and cancelled. I found a powerpoint presentation that they show at the info session and read through it. Glad to know that my 85 on the TEAS should be sufficient, though all these 90's and up make me just a little nervous! Application window FINALLY closes in 4 days!
wow i am glad to see that there are more comments from other people! I have been MIA from this thread for a bit due to some personal reasons but I did get my application done. But my application is still under review for my pre-req's.. I don't know if I should I be worried or not.. how long did it take for you guys to get that requirement checked?... I actually don't feel that great about my app because when I took the teas for the final time for this program I earned a 79.3% :/ which isn't competitive at all (my stats are Cum. GPA: 3.73; Pre. Req. GPA: 3.84) so now I am definitely going to apply to SSC's concurrent program because that will give me a chance to take the TEAS one more time before the April date. @tharper1983 I know your applying to SSC's program too because I saw that you started a thread for it, I was wondering if you know if I have to attend an information session prior to applying or just in general ( I know its mandatory to attend one but can it be after you apply, I don't live in the orlando area so I was wondering) If anyone has answers to these questions I would appreciate it :)

I think I received one of those emails back after I was accepted to UCF as pre-nursing. I haven't registered either. The way I see it, if/when we are accepted to the CON, we'll be notified with ample time in which to complete the necessary orientations!
