Hello, I plan on applying to UCF's traditional BSN program in the fall of 2015. Although there is still some time before the application period begins I wanted to start this thread to get the ball rolling for all of us that plan on applying. Also I wanted to see what the application pool is looking like for this cycle in regards to stats. Mine go as this:
Cum. GPA: 3.73
Pre. Req. GPA: 3.84
as for the teas I take it next month
(Wish me luck I've been studying a lot for it, so if u have any tips feel free..lol)
Hope to be hearing back from some of you prospective students with your stats, questions/comments w.e it may be :)
P.s. past students that want to share their experience with the UCF program so far, are also welcome :)
I'm worried i'll have problems since a couple of my pre-reqs were completed via AP credit in highschool and not at a college but i did get college credit for them. idk. i've done others that could replace them, like another upper level stats instead of stats or how if gen psych wont work i have a psych minor so use any other one of those. but i would hope they would have told me it was an issue by now:l
I agree! Call them... That is what they are there for. The issue I ran into with transcripts was that undergrad admissions had marked my application that a final transcript was received, however, they hadn't actually processed it yet. I had to call undergrad and then reply to the initial declination email to get it straightened out. I will be glad when the application window closes and we are counting down to acceptance (hopefully) letters :) I go in waves where I feel competitive with my stats and then I feel like my TEAS won't be high enough to compete (85.3)... I can't see spending the money to retake it though since it's well above the minimum requirement.
I called about my background check yesterday and they said that they will get back to me this week. Ugh this is so nerve wracking. I read somewhere on the CON site that decision will go out 6-8 weeks after the application window closes. That seems so soon! I know USF and UNF (two other schools that I am applying to) don't even make final decisions until June!
Your 4.0 pre-req GPA is going to really boost you, tharper1983. And an 85% is still very competitive. Do they release admissions stats for every cohort?
Here is a link to the stats for previous year cohorts. I don't know that they have always done this but here is 2014 stats.

Hi everyone! I have applied for the basic BSN program as well and plan on applying to the SSC/UCF concurrent program too. I have been looking for a forum so I'm glad I've found this one!
My stats are:
Overall: 3.76
Prereq: 3.8 prereq
TEAS: 88.7%
I'm so anxious to hear back, april can't come soon enough!
By the way, in case anyone didn't know, the SSC/UCF concurrent program has changed their plan of study so that starting this fall it is only a 4 semester program. From what I understand.
Hi! Figured I'd chime in here for my first post! I, too, have applied for UCF Fall 2015 BSN, I'm also going to apply for the Valencia/UCF concurrent when that time comes just in case. Might as well make introductions for possible future classmates! So hello all! I wish you good luck!
PreReq GPA: 3.63
Overall GPA: 3.82
TEAS: 90.7%

I think I've called UCF at least three times in the past week just because of paranoia. Apps are so stressful. But yeah, I have a every prereq done except for nutrition, which I'm doing now. I also had to submit a petition for a course substitution for statistics because I took STA2122, which is theoretically more advanced than the statistics courses that they list, but I had to petition it nevertheless.
