Hello, I plan on applying to UCF's traditional BSN program in the fall of 2015. Although there is still some time before the application period begins I wanted to start this thread to get the ball rolling for all of us that plan on applying. Also I wanted to see what the application pool is looking like for this cycle in regards to stats. Mine go as this:
Cum. GPA: 3.73
Pre. Req. GPA: 3.84
as for the teas I take it next month
(Wish me luck I've been studying a lot for it, so if u have any tips feel free..lol)
Hope to be hearing back from some of you prospective students with your stats, questions/comments w.e it may be :)
P.s. past students that want to share their experience with the UCF program so far, are also welcome :)
They are actually sent electronically, if I remember correctly. The general undergrad admission office is where they need to go though! If you recently sent final transcripts, make sure they actually post them to your account! I got a preliminary denial because my transcripts hadn't been entered... Luckily there is still time for them to get it corrected and change my status to eligible but little things like that make me uneasy!
Ummmm I Can't remember the exact numbers of my GPA, but it was something like a 3.95 Cum and a 3.9 Pre-Req I got a 90 on my TEAS. Once I was accepted things were pretty boring over the summer. Just had to get physical, immunizations, background check, drug testing, etc Everything started to pick up at the beginning of the semester during/after orientation, uniforms, steth, pen light, BP cuff, bandage scissors, books, etc all had to be purchased. Classes went by so fast. Labs were the most stressful part for me, but it gets better. I'm enjoying my classes, but I like clinical way more. I have friends in Seminole and Valencia concurrent programs and they love it so you won't have a bad time no matter what. Also, its not the end of the world if you get wait listed. I have several friends in the program who were originally on the wait list who got in by the beginning of the semester.
Thanks for sharing! I am sure as time goes on I will have even more questions! I am out of school this semester because I didn't want to use up loan money for classes I don't need anyway! I finished my AA last semester. SO I am VERY bored!! Do you know if there are scholarships for nursing students that are not "need" based?
Hi guys!:) im applying to the basic bsn and am still waiting on my pre-reqs and teas to be verified. Hoping that i did everything right. wish i could be with them reviewing it so i could know everything is right xD. Like how some of my pre-reqs were through ap credit or dual enrollment in highschool. hope everything goes well with that Q.Q
I feel like all the forums I was looking at when I applied for Spring (I was in progress with 3 prereqs LOL) were so much more active. I am wondering if maybe when the end of the application window gets closer or when we are waiting for acceptance emails it will pick up... When I created this topic I couldn't believe there wasn't already one set up! Do you mind sharing your stats? Congrats on applying! Hopefully we are all accepted and starting classes together in August!

Yeah - since you have the time, I would certainly wait! I am not in classes right now, just at home with my 4 year old waiting to get started so I figure I should just be ahead of the game!
