Hello, I plan on applying to UCF's traditional BSN program in the fall of 2015. Although there is still some time before the application period begins I wanted to start this thread to get the ball rolling for all of us that plan on applying. Also I wanted to see what the application pool is looking like for this cycle in regards to stats. Mine go as this:
Cum. GPA: 3.73
Pre. Req. GPA: 3.84
as for the teas I take it next month
(Wish me luck I've been studying a lot for it, so if u have any tips feel free..lol)
Hope to be hearing back from some of you prospective students with your stats, questions/comments w.e it may be :)
P.s. past students that want to share their experience with the UCF program so far, are also welcome :)
My pre-reqs were under review on monday and that worried me since it was over a month since i submitted my application so i called and it turned out that they had already finished my application but forgot to check off that my pre-reqs were there. so if your application says "eligible" instead of "ineligible" but with the pre-reqs still as a no, that is likely what happened to you too. But they were still reviewing applications on monday so they might have not gotten to some peoples yet.
Also, theres an open house at the college of nursing this saturday where they'll do a tour, provide refreshments, answer questions, etc. I cannot make it and its the only day unfortunately so if anyone else attends, you should post if they say anything about the admissions for us like if they think it'll take the full 8 weeks or shorter, how many applied, etc etc. :3 they probably wont but i dont see why they couldnt say how many applied or something like that.
YES! Call the office of undergrad admissions (or check online) and make sure they received it... Then once you confirm, call the CON and let them know and they can manually enter the information. The undergrad office was so back logged that they were marking them received but not actually entering them since we aren't enrolled for Spring or Summer... Or you can always hand deliver a copy which might be the best thing to do! Don't let someone else handle your fate :) I am so ready for the wait to be over! I really hope we find out before the application window for the SSC/UCF Concurent opens on 4/6. I am sooooooo anxious!
UCF finally marked my prereqs as received so I guess they're making headway lol. I heard from Valencia and if I don't get in to UCF I'll likely be starting VCC's Generic ASN this May and doing the ASN-BSN with UCF after I finish next fall. But man oh man do I want this UCF email haha AHH!
Congrats to all of you who have heard from other programs. UCF is my first choices and SSC/UCF Concurrent is my backup plan. Hopefully I don't need a back up plan to my back up! I am an older student with a family so it's not like I can just up and move for another program. It's been almost two weeks :) I wish I could go to the open house tomorrow, but my daughter is playing in a softball tournament which will occupy my entire weekend!

It's almost March...not much longer! We just have to preoccupy ourselves. It doesn't help that UCF is sending me an orientation email literally everyday, though.
And my pre-reqs are still under review according to the CON.
