UCF BSN Fall 2017

Published

Hi guys,

I hope I'm not the only one already obsessing over my application for the Fall 2017 semester! I have finals this week and then I'm finally finished with the nursing pre-reqs and I'll have my AA after just two courses in the spring. The application window for the traditional BSN program at UCF is in February and I'm so ready! I thought we could all come together here like I've seen others do in the past to share our stats and words of advice/encouragement.

Here are my stats:

Overall GPA: 3.71

Science Pre-req: 3.67

Non-Science Pre-req: 4.0

TEAS: 86.7

I feel like my stats aren't particularly competitive for the traditional program so I'll also be applying to Valencia-UCF's concurrent program next May.

Anyone else a little too excited the the next few months to fly by? What are your stats? Are you currently a UCF student or transfer? Are you applying to any other programs?

So I take it everyone has already been admitted to UCF? I submitted my application mid November and my status is still pending receipt of my fall semester grades from Valencia. I know the traditional BSN application doesn't open until the first of february but this makes me nervous!

Thanks- good luck to you too! I'm still nervous even though I feel pretty good. I also don't like that my transcripts haven't been updated. My knightaudit still shows ip for my summer class and the application period starts Sunday.

I just wanted to say hi to everyone! I was in your exact shoes a year ago, so I know how it feels. The best advice I have for everyone right now is if you have questions or a hold up, go ahead and contact the admissions office. You want everything straightened out before application opens, since there is only a two week window to send them in.

Hey! Im applying also after switching from being an accounting major lol

Stats:

Overall GPA: 3.7

Science GPA: 3.8

Other: 3.675

Teas: Im taking this on the 10th!

Ill be applying to the UCF program and both the concurrent programs, the problem is i wont have that 1 credit nutrition class required by them by the time of application for seminole state but i will for valencia, so im just hoping my TEAS is good enough for UCF.

Has anyone got their background check completed yet?

Hi cynice, your stats look really good! Im in the process of finishing the background check. Had my fingerprints sent in today.

I'm sure the one credit that you're missing won't be a problem! Doesn't UCF allow one outstanding prereq by the application deadline?

Yes, UCF allows one unfinished prereq, though you are apparently more competitive if you had all your prereqs done. I was doing microbio when I applied and it wasn't a problem. I think most people are still finishing up one last course. I do think it has to be in progress when you apply, but I'm not sure.

Good luck on your TEAS!

Do you mind if I ask what your stats were when that occurred without the microbiology class?

Just signed up for the background check jeez 80$, used to having it free for different jobs lol

No problem! I had a 4.0 GPA and I think a 91 or 92 on the TEAS.

Actually, it is the Seminole/UCF concurrent program that ranks you as being most competitive if you have all the prereqs completed.

Wow a 91 on the TEAS! How long did you study for I've got 9 days left until I take it feel like I'm missing something to do lol

Yea and it's weird on the admission stats it was like 70 people invited for the concurrent and 30 admitted with all pre reqs done so I'm guessing the other 40 were admitted with missing one pre req

I don't remember exactly since it's been a year and a half, but I think I studied lightly (
