UCF 2017 Accelerated Nursing Program

Published

Hello,

My name is Yuan and I am applying for UCF 2017 Accelerated Nursing Program. I noticed that there was a thread every year on this forum for applicants to share their status and progress after application. So this is what this thread is for.

As for me, I have

Teas: 85.3% ( I might take it again at the beginning of January)

Overall GPA :3.56 ( it's not great:( )

Prerequisite GPA: 4.0

Good luck!

Actually, this quote is directly from the UCF website "TEAS V scores will not be accepted after December 31, 2017. Students applying for a BSN program after December 31, 2017 must submit the new version, ATI TEAS, score." So, they will not accept the TEAS V after the end of this year.

Hi there! I'm still an undergrad so I haven't applied to programs yet but UCF is my #1 choice so I've been taking a peek at this thread. I just wanted to say congratulations on your acceptance to both UCF and UF! I currently attend UF (Go Gators!) and just wanted to encourage you to seriously consider which school is more in line with your lifestyle. While UF has a stellar program, Gainesville is very small-town compared to Orlando. There's a lot of construction taking place to add in new restaurants and strip malls, but there will never be as much to do here! That being said, the campus and its students will definitely motivate you to put more effort into your studies. UF definitely has high expectations for its students and you will feel the pressure to excel (in a good way). I'll also add that there is nothing like being in The Swamp on game days. The university's sports really unite the community but that may not appeal to everyone. I have loved every minute of being a Gator but I'm looking forward to moving on to a city (hopefully Orlando!) with more to offer than just an awesome university. I hope this helps and congratulations again!

Also, I'm new to the site so please forgive me if this comment was posted as a general post and note directed at the individuals who were admitted to both UCF and UF! Congratulations to everyone on their acceptances!

Hello all, I'm going to apply for 2019 2nd degree program but i have one question regarding the financial aid. I didn't take out any financial aid before since my first bachelors degree was done in another country. Does anybody know that if I can still apply for the financial aid though? (just in case I'm a permanent resident here) Thanks any help is highly appreciated.

fiona724,

As long at you're a permanent resident and have applied for FAFSA online you should be able to take out undergraduate student loans both subsidized and unsubsidized (government pays interest for you, and government doesn't pay interest for you) up to the aggregate loan amount which I think is something around ~50k? So yes, you should be fine. Hope that helps :)

Lanntis, Thank you so much for the information. I've kept searching for the information online as well. They are pretty much the same as what you told me. I think I will go ahead to talk to Jessica for more accurate information. Thank you so much!

Hi,

My UCF nursing application status says:"Eligible" and I still have not gotten an email. Anyone else experience a delay at this point in the process? I'm feeling pretty excited, yet nervous. Thanks.

Can anyone currently in the program give their honest opinion about how their experience has been so far? I am applying to UNF, UCF, and UF for this summer, and want to make a proper decision, if I am admitted into more than one of them. For example, class structure, tutoring opportunities, clinicals, if professors actually care about you...

Thanks!

I'm applying to the same programs and have the same questions! I'm replying so I can follow along. I also wanted to let you know that I started a similar thread for this years application cycle under the pre-nursing students tab! Best of luck to you!
