UCF 2010-2011 accelerated nursing program

Published

I am applying and have requested all my transcripts, I did decent on the Teas test with an 86. Undergrad gpa 3.45, pre req 4.0

I went to the info session last month it was a bit of a pain :angryfire to sit through just to get the application passcode because of all the redundant you should do some research if your serious questions lol.

I am excited and hope to get in to move forward with my life goals of community health nursing.

I am also applying to UNF's program too. Their website is really detailed with everything I ever wanted to know. One of the few schools that have their stuff together.

Thank Julie, that is more manageable compared to FSU with like 20 in the SPring and Fall and 18 in the summer. Any idea how long clinicals are each semester?

I'm not sure, but I heard to plan on being in class or clinicals Mon-Fri from 8am-5pm for the entire program. I can't wait to find out. I got an 87.6 on the TEAS and have a 4.0 in my science prereqs, but my overall GPA is about 3.27 and my other prereqs are about 3.2. I know it's broken up into those 4 categories. I'm hoping they give more weight to the TEAS and science prereq GPA, but we shall see!

I had no idea decisions were sent out that soon Julie. I was thinking mid March or the start of April. I know they consider your overall Teas score, undergrad gpa, overall gpa I think, and pre-req gpa.

I heard it was by March 1 at the latest through email but with the new online system it "could be earlier". The wait is driving me crazy! :-) Good luck all!

hi all,

I can say that they must still be processing applications at this point. I had to submit an APG form for a class that I took out of state as part of my undergraduate degree. I just received notification this afternoon that it has been processed and approved. My guess is that this is likely the last step before the decisions are made to ensure that all applicants have the required courses completed or in progress.

Anyway, here's hoping that we hear back soon. :)

Good luck to all!

Supposedly the APG committee only meets once per month so hopefully final decisions were also made at the most recent meeting *fingers crossed* Anyone applying from Gainesville??

I was wondering the application tracking number we received what is that good for?

I don't know. I wondered the same thing and I tried to revisit the application page to see if there was somewhere to enter it but i was told that I had already completed an application so I couldn't log in and that was it. The only thing I can think of is maybe they use it to reference your application if you call with a question before they send decisions out. I thought about calling "anonymously" to ask when decisions would be sent out but I chickened out. haha. The wait seems like forever. :-)

UCF called me today, left a message asking about resending my teas score to them. Weird because I selected them as my primary institution, I guess Teas messed up or something. It was nice to receive a call from them asking for it because they could of just said "oh missing NEXT"..lol maybe its a positive indicator, I will take it as that.

Hey everyone...I called recently and was told the the tracking number is for their personal use, not for ours. They also told me that the decisions will be sent out this Thursday, Feb. 25th by e-mail. Hope this clears up some questions! Good luck everyone!

Wow that is quick. I guess I will know next weekend.

AHHH Feb 25?? I'm going to go crazy for the 6 hours I'm stuck at work without a computer. How exciting! Thanks for passing that on!
