i guess they will notify me through my knightsmail account. thankfully i don't have that account on auto-retrieve on my phone; i have to manually check the messages. i would go bananas everytime i got an alert. besides, i get enough alerts from my work and personal yahoo accounts!! when i start hearing people screaming on here that they got decisions, that is when i will check :)

i signed up for orientation on march 25, it would be a shame if i don't get in after having spent $40 signing up for that. i did not want to have to wait until may to go through that.

So Paco69, I take it then that you will take UCF over SBU? What about UF?

paco69, did you sign up for the full-day orientation, or the online/on-campus combo? i signed up for the one partially online. since it is about a seven hour drive for me, i am going to have to stay in a hotel the night prior.

i think i would. it all comes down to finances, and between the two, ucf wins (i am also waiting on unf). my heart has been set on sbu for a long time but i have to be realistic. sbu as an out-of-stater is pricey, not to mention that it's not in the cheapest location of new york to live. figures i would pursue going there when i no longer qualify as a resident. :uhoh3: i would have loved to apply to uf, but they require dev psych and stats to be taken within last 7 years (mine are over 15 years old, all my other prereqs are at most within the past 2). i would have to take these 2 classes over because of uf alone, no one else required that, so i said no to uf due to that.

signed up for the full day. i would have opted for the part online, but i figured as long as i had to go down to orlando i might as well go the whole freaking day :D ... it's an hour away. besides, my last class this past fall was online and i am kind of over the online thing right now ... hahaha!

Where did you get information for orientation for UCF? I am a readmit( I got my undergraduate and graduate degrees from their) so I am wondering if I have to do an orientation again?

In reference to: "March 1 is next Tues ... 5 days away, it will be here before you know it. And if it takes later in the week, oh well. How are we supposed to hear decisions first? Do they email or will we wait for a letter by US mail? " I know it's not that far away but it feels like forever because our dreams and future are about to be determined from this email...it is email that will be informing us, however I think its the email that was used to apply for the program, maybe I'm wrong? Is it going to our personal email or knightsmail?

Since you are a readmit, you are not required to go to orientation. It is only for us transfer students who have never attended UCF. The email address they send the letters to should be the email you provided on your application. The nursing website states that we should set up a knights email account after we are admitted to the nursing program.

You sure know a lot of info:o) Thanks!

My contact at UCF today indicated March 1 was not likely :(

I think I might call tomorrow and see what they say. I'm sure the lady answering the phone just loves all of us ;)

After that I think I'll just try to be patient.....maybe.

I wish they would post an update on their website indicating if there is a delay and when we can expect to receive a decision. We all keep getting different answers!
