Congratulations! So is your username now "gobulls"? :D

Can someone tell me the cost of UCF Absn's program for an out of state resident? I'm aware it's around $50,000... just trying to get a better idea. I've recently been accepted off of the waitlist. And does the school give financial aid in such a way that you don't pay it back? Or is it understood that in agreeing to the program, you're agreeing to the $50,000 in loans under the assumption you're going to come out with a great education and awesome career potential? I'm aware all schools approach this a little different and I'm not sure where UCF stands. Thanks!

UCF charges about $683 per credit hour for out of state undergraduate students. It takes about 32 credits to complete the program = $21,856. Uniforms and books are another $2,000. As far as I know, UCF requires you to pay back any money they lend you. Now Florida Hospital's nursing program gives students loans they don't have to pay back for a guarantee to work for them for a few years. Congrats on your acceptance! Best of luck with your tough decision!!

Yay!!! I'm so glad you got in :yeah: Good luck at USF!

ShineBox,

How long did UCF give you to accept once they offered you a seat off the waitlist? I was told they give you 24 hours to decide. Also, did they contact you by phone or email?

Gatorgrad8,

I was contacted by email. Had to notify them via a letter, which they would have to receive, w/in 6 days of my email notification.

Can you tell me where you found the info stating the program is 32 credits? It appears to be 60 from what I'm looking at on the website. Makes a big difference! Did you graduate from the program already?

Thanks.

The program is not 32 credits. It is 54-59 credits based on whether you have to take an elective/research.

Shinebox,

I was incorrect with the credits. I only looked at the curriculum for the 1st two semesters! Sorry! I'm on the waiting list this year and I'll be applying to Remington as a back up plan. ($36K for their program!). So I feel ya on the financial aspect. :)

Congrats, ShineBox!! May I ask: Did they contact you via your personal e-mail, or your UCF email? I am waitlisted and have forgotten all about UCF e-mail! Yikes!

Personal E-mail. :-)

Did you accept? ;)
