UC Denver Traditional Program 2018

Published

Hello Everyone!

I thought it would be a good idea to post a forum for anyone who is applying to the University of Denver Traditional nursing program. I just finished my application about two weeks ago and I was wondering who all have done the same!?

I noticed it is a different schedule for interviews this year, it is much later now. We don't do interviews till January 12th and then we find out around February 15th.

Has anyone ever applied before? This is my first time.

Alyssa

I am also in the afternoon session-- and plan to be there around 1115. See you all there, and best of luck to everyone!

How is everyone feeling after the interview process? I thought it was run very smoothly and wasn't as scary as I thought it was going to be. One month until decisions are out!

I felt it went really well too! I was in the morning session and I was one of the first groups to interview so it was nice to get out of the way first thing. This month will go by so slow because I am so impatient to find out!

Mine was in the PM-- I found the format refreshing! I wasn't really sure what to expect, but thought it was great-- the interview day overall was so well organized. And yes, I think everyone who attended that day would agree that the wait is agonizing! Slowest month ever!

Curious... Anyone know anything about Denver School of Nursing? I'm from IL so I don't know much about it, but have read good and bad about it online. Praying I get into CU Denver of course, but might think about DSN as a backup. Thanks!

Is the wait driving anyone else crazy? :) The interview day feels like it was so long ago!

Yes! They said the 16th, right? Just a little over a week to go. . .

Yes the wait has been long! Did anyone apply to any other schools as backups? I have been looking, but of course all schools have different prereq requirements, etc. Wondering if anyone knows anything about other CO schools that are great schools with similar prereqs as CU? Also, people say UC Denver or CU Denver...website URL says UC but logo says CU. So which do we say? Lol

Haha I've been wondering the same thing about the official name of the program!

CU Anshutz is one of the four CU systems: Boulder, Colorado Springs, Denver, and Anshutz. The nursing school is CU College of Nursing... so I guess CU haha

The full name is the University of Colorado Denver, or UCD for short. But yes as someone said bellow, anshutz is one of 4 locations. It can be called either and CU is definitely the nickname of the schools. But formally it will be University of Colorado Denver.

Haha ok yeah I was just wondering if UC or CU. I knew the full name, just wondered if people referred to it as UC Denver or CU Denver typically
