I wanted to start a thread on the upcoming residency program for UC Davis for Summer/Fall 2016!

Who has applied so far? What units?

Wanted to keep each other updated if we hear anything. :)

I said on the app that I wanted L&D (or postpartum)

No call for me yet. I'm not sure I'll get a call anyway, but I figured it would be a little early to get calls. Though it sounds like they may be starting?

Pardon my bad my memory, but was there a space in the app to indicate which start date one was interested in? I don't remember specifying this.

I don't remember specifying whether I'd want to start in July or October. I think they might go based off when you finish school but I'm just taking a guess.

Sodabay - Sorry for the confusion! I didn't specify October on my app. I don't finish up with my practicum until the end of July. I was only eligible for the October start.

Congratulations! Is your interview for the July start? And I'm guessing you did your preceptorship in the NICU since that seems to be what I've heard regarding how they place?

inzhodz, I wish I knew if they were calling for both, but I personally have no clue. I don't want to get my hopes up too much for this residency, but I wish they would call me haha. Which cohort are you hoping for?

Me too! I sure hope they call!!! Either one is fine by me, I would just love to work at UCD!

Same here! I've heard UCD is a great system, though I personally have no experience with clinicals or anything there. I'd be coming from out of state (Arizona) if I did get anything. Are you from the area or did you have any clinicals there? Or do you know anything about what it's like working for UCD?

I would need the October cohort since I just graduated and still have to take the NCLEX. Probably won't have my license by the end of June!! Still no word for me though..

If anyone hears anything from L&D or mother/baby please let me know!! :)

Yes I did my preceptorship in the NICU. The manager didn't say which cohort it was for. I'm hoping it's October because I just graduated this month! Does anyone remember if we specified the date in the application?
