Who has applied so far? What units?

Wanted to keep each other updated if we hear anything. :)

I said on the app that I wanted L&D (or postpartum)

tenta, it looks like you applied to UCLA nurse residency program as well. Have you heard anything back? I have a interview for a CTICU position with them.

Unfortunately no. I have an interview for an internship at UCD in the MSICU on Wednesday though!

I'm confused. UCD has two different programs, the internship is for nursing students and the residency is for new RNs. When are you graduating?

I applied as well for L&D/postpartum/antepartum because those are the units I precepted in.

Any idea of when we can expect to hear about interviews? From previous year's threads it seems like that can be anywhere to a few weeks before the program starts.

Hi all! A friend of mine let me know that our applications are being routed next week on Wednesday-Friday. We should hear back in 2-3 weeks from now. Hope that helps!

Hi! I applied and although there wasn't an area to indicate what unit one prefers I did convey my interest in my cover letter. However, from one of their nurse recruiters I found out that senior preceptorship has a strong influence in where you end up. Have any of you seen your application status changing from "applied" to "routed," or have you been called for an interview?

Hi all!

I applied as well, but I can't remember if I was ever given the option for my unit preference, though if I did give a preference it would be somewhere within critical care. I haven't done my preceptorship yet, but they let me apply anyway saying if they were still interested in me then they would call me in June when I find out where I'll be (I graduate in August). Hey all, I applied for the October start and received a phone call today. I didn't specify a unit in my application but my practicum is in pedi. They gave me the name and number of one of the nurse managers and told me to call him when I finish my boards in August.
