UC Davis Nurse Residency 2017

Published

For those applying to the UCDMC Feb/April 2017 cohorts, did you receive a personality test following completion of your application?

Has anyone heard from PICU?

I received a rejection letter in the mail a few days ago from the PICU.

Did you get an interview and then rejection letter? Or no interview and a rejection letter?... sorry. I am sure you will be put where you are meant to be! Or maybe even the next cohort. Good luck!

Aw thanks! I had an interview and received the rejection letter about 3 weeks later.

Specializes in Med-Surg.

Has anyone received a call back from the float pool unit?

I just got an offer for resource nurse or (float pool) new grad position! Good luck everyone and keep applying!

I just called the Nurse Recruitment office, and they said that none of the adult ICUs are hiring for the February cohort. However they said to keep a lookout for the April cohort, which can start calling for interviews in February.

I am curious if there is a realistic chance to get interviewed for the February start date? I know someone mentioned that the units can possibly call until the beginning of February. Also I just graduated this past December, so I wonder if that has anything to do with it.

Is this for Feb or April cohort? Will they be doing an April cohort? I'm asking because the manager of that unit wants to interview me ONLY after I get my ATT, and so far I haven't received it, and I'm scared that he's already passed on me.

I received an offer (for float pool) last week for the Feb cohort. It seems that HR is extending offers mainly for Feb (basically those who have their licenses or will get it before Feb 27). They will continue interviewing and hire later for the April cohort to give them time to get their licenses. Don't worry! There is an April one.

Did you precept here?

No, I did not precept at UCDMC. I've never done any rotations there either.
