I'm starting this thread for anyone who has applied to the UC Davis Nurse Residency for October 2012.

Good luck to us all!! :)

We don't hear back until mid-late July for an interview. Good luck to everyone!

Good luck everyone!

hey all!

Has anyone heard back for an interview? Does anyone know if they are hiring for pediatrics?

Good luck!! Its tough out here!

I just spoke with HR and they said expect more updates in early August. Why do hospitals take sooo long during this process?!? Don't they know people need jobs?

I'm sure recruiters are aware of that, but you also have to think about how overwhelming it is for them. Recruiters get TONS (and I mean, a CRAPLOAD!) of applicants and for them to go through each application is exhausting. Major kudos to them for sticking it up!

Not to mention that they're always getting bugged by phone calls and e-mails about follow ups and what not...

I am waiting also. This wait is very hard, but there is no choice in the matter. Good luck to all!

I hope we all hear something soon! Aug seems so far away right now LOL. This will be my 3rd try with UC Davis, the first time was before I had my license, the 2nd time they weren't hiring for peds, 3rd time's the charm right?!?

3rd time's definitely the charm!!! Great attitude! You got it. :)

Well then I should just say in CA and healthcare for that matter, they take an unusually long time to process apps. I'm from out of state, and all my friends turned in applications and were hired within a month and started shortly after that at hospitals just as competitive as UCD. None of them, nor I, have ever heard of a 4 month hiring process. Outside of healthcare, the hiring process can be done in as little as a week- even with hundreds of applicants.

Just looking for others who can relate- after all this is "allnurses.com" not "allrecruiters.com"

Does anyone know how many new grads they will be taking in this October group? The wait is torture but I REALLY want this one (as I'm sure all of us do, lol)!!

Best of luck to us all!!!! :)

Just thought I should try asking, but does anyone know if we can edit/update our application? I tried to see if we could and it doesn't seem so but I just thought I should ask in case any of you all knew. I officially have my license now and few certs so I hope I can add that.
