UC Davis Nurse Residency Program - Fall 2021

Hello,

Applications are open for the fall start of the Nurse Residency at UC Davis. I wanted to start the forum to discuss what unit(s) applicants are interested in, where are you from, etc. I submitted my application already and if anyone has any questions regarding the process, I'd be happy to help.

I am also waiting to be routed ? My capstone was in Med-Surg because that was all I could get during the pandemic in San Francisco and I did not specify a unit that I would like to work on.

My application was updated to routed for further consideration. I did specify for L&D or postpartum.

I am currently finishing my last semester of my BSN and I am routed for further consideration. Don't panic.. seems as though the different departments will go off of their own timing.

Nope, not yet ☹️ I’ve gotten better about checking though - I only do once in the morning and once in the evening LOL ?

Anyone not do preceptorship yet and applied? I am in ABSN and we don't know where we will precept yet ?  Applying for OR.

Hi all!
I just got an update today that I was routed for further consideration; does anyone know if this means you will get called for an interview for certain? I precepted in a PICU and graduated this May and am hoping for peds!

Hello. I still have not heard back but yesterday I was told you were potentially supposed to put certain key words in your resume and cover letter so that the computer system will pick you. I am not sure if this is 100% true but I did not know this before applying.

Does anyone who has an active RN license still haven't been routed? I graduated last December and got my RN license in February but it seems like those who haven't gotten their license yet have been routed?
