UC Davis Nurse Residency Program - Fall 2021

Published

Hello,

Applications are open for the fall start of the Nurse Residency at UC Davis. I wanted to start the forum to discuss what unit(s) applicants are interested in, where are you from, etc. I submitted my application already and if anyone has any questions regarding the process, I'd be happy to help.

Good Luck to all,

Amanda.

For the people that got routed, how did you set up your clinical hours on your resume. Did any of you set it up in a chart format like on the site?

I got routed and I did set up my clinical hours exactly like they had it on the website and placed in on my resume. In my cover letter I didn't specify any department choices.

My status hasn’t changed either? it makes me wonder if we’re even being considered for interviews if it doesn’t change?

Are any of you in an RN-BSN program but still applied?

Yes! That’s why I’m worried. I did my senior preceptorship at a Level III NICU (where I said I wanted to be placed) but I still have a couple classes left for my BSN. My friend in the Spring 2021 cohort encouraged me this morning by reminding me that being routed takes different times based on department, so I’m desperately trying to stay optimistic ?

Congrats to Mak on the interview!
