UC Davis Nurse Residency Program - Fall 2021

Hello,

Applications are open for the fall start of the Nurse Residency at UC Davis. I wanted to start the forum to discuss what unit(s) applicants are interested in, where are you from, etc. I submitted my application already and if anyone has any questions regarding the process, I'd be happy to help.

I also applied for Fall 2021 and am anxiously waiting for some kind of notification - hoping we get something soon, seems like we should be hearing back in a couple weeks if Spring 2021 is any indicator.

Hi everyone!

I started a forum chain too but wanted to join the conversation ☺️ Also eagerly awaiting an update! The last cohort started seeing “routed for further consideration” about 7-8 weeks after applications closed which is about that time for us. I’m so nervous because this is my dream job! Hopefully we all hear good news soon.

Nice to “meet” you too, Danielle.  I think we are all waiting anxiously and keeping an eye out for when someone types that they got contacted for an interview.  I assume they will start interviewing fairly soon.  It’s a long process, but I know it’ll be well worth the wait for those chosen.  Good luck!

Haha I am *dying*! This is about the time the last cohort heard back (7-8 weeks after app period closing). I just keep refreshing my account and wishing for “routed for further consideration.” Hopefully sooner rather than later, because I’ve heard it can be days up to 3 weeks after being routed to get contacted for an interview?

Yeah, I have been checking this page and the career page every day! I applied almost 10 weeks ago now.

I did not know that it will change to "routed for further consideration" so that is good to know. 

?

I’m not sure when it happened. I haven’t checked it for like week or 2. Has anyone else’s changed as well?

Not yet, but now I’m freaking out even more ? Did you specify a preferred department? I heard it gets routed to the dept for an interview so it may vary depending on where we hope to work. Hopefully more of us get good news soon too! ☺️

I also heard they might interview one cohort and then the second one ?
