UC Davis Nurse Residency Program - Fall 2021

Hello,

Applications are open for the fall start of the Nurse Residency at UC Davis. I wanted to start the forum to discuss what unit(s) applicants are interested in, where are you from, etc. I submitted my application already and if anyone has any questions regarding the process, I'd be happy to help.

Question... have all interviews been for the August cohort? Or has anyone specifically interviewed for October? I'm just curious if I haven't heard back because I won't graduate until early August so I specified October residency in my cover letter..

They initially called me to interview for the August cohort but I informed them that I preferred an October start date so they interviewed me for consideration for that cohort instead!

Hi, the interview was on zoom and was hard to read the room. It was a panel interview and the scenario questions were pretty difficult. They told me they had done all their interviews and would be making their decision this week and sending it to HR then HR would reach out to the candidates by next Friday.

Has anyone else interviewed for the Critical Care fellowship? I didn’t ask the timeframe for getting back to us & now I’m just super anxious. I did a zoom interview on the 29th of last month & already supplied them with my five references!

still waiting to hear from float pool as well! fingers crossed for both of us! ?

my interviewer did ask me to do 5 references at the end of my interview and I got them in asap! has anyone heard back after sending in your references?

I completed my reference checks 7/2! Still waiting to hear back! Hoping this will be a great week for us!
